Performance
Monitoring of Implementing Partners under EU Food Facility
Project in NWFP and Balochistan |

The European Union
funded Food Facility project, implemented by the Food
and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) is aimed
at increasing sustainable food security for most vulnerable
households in food-deficient areas of NWFP, Punjab,
Sindh and Balochistan. The project objective is to
contribute to restoring household food security in
selected food-deficient areas of Pakistan by increasing
the availability of preferred staple crops in a sustainable
manner. The project is being implemented in 17 districts
in total:

Over the project lifecycle
FAO intends to carry out performance assessments of its implementing
partners (usually NGOs) under the EUFF project, as well as evaluate
the results of agricultural input provision and other interventions.
FAO is therefore requesting submission of Expressions on Interest
(EOI) by companies for the following two activities to be undertaken
in the five districts of NWFP and four districts of Balochistan:

Performance assessment of project
implementing partners. Companies should be able to design
the study (in consultation with EUFF/FAO team), undertake
field surveys and compile an analytical report along
with recommendations for future action.

Evaluation of
the output of FAO’s agricultural inputs (seeds and
fertilizer) distributed to beneficiaries in October 2009
and provided training. Companies should be able to design
the study (in consultation with EUFF/FAO team), undertake
field surveys and compile a technical report along with
recommendations for future action. |
Interested registered companies
are requested to submit their Expression of Interest, along
with a detailed company profile, no later than close of business
by March 1, 2010 to the following email address:
