Call For Expression of Interest (CEI)

Implementation of Project Activities for:

IDPs in New Durani Camp and off-camp surrounding areas as well as host families in Lower Kurram Agency FATA
IDPs in Jalozai Camp, off-camp and host families in surrounding areas.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nations (FAO) is planning for the implementation of relief activities to assist conflict-affected communities of New Durani camp and Lower Kurram Agency), Jalozai camp, and surrounding areas, KPK.

Projects will be implemented to support conflict affected IDPs households in New Durani and Jalozai camp as well as off-camp IDPs and host families, within the period of April- August 2012. Objective of FAO interventions is to enhance availability and access to nutritious food for displaced households and host families through provision of livestock emergency supplies and vegetables inputs.

FAO Interventions for the conflict affectees of FATA entail the following main activities:

1.	Distribution of wheat straw and Urea Molasses Blocks
2.	Distribution of feeders, water troughs, milking and milk preservation utensils
3.	Distribution of poultry birds, feed and poultry kits
4.	Distribution of livestock medicines and vaccines
5.	Distribution of legumes and vegetable packages

National and International NGOs interested in the implementation of one or more of the above activities in one or more of the targeted in above mentioned camps/areas are invited to present their expression of interest. Interested NGOs shall comply with the following basic requirements, as applicable:

1.	Being registered and renewed for the year 2011/2012 as per applicable Government rules
2.	Having at least three years of working experience at the time of submission of the expression of interest (EOI)
3.	Being able to produce a recent audit report from a registered auditor (strongly preferred, though not compulsory)

Experience working in agriculture and food security interventions with INGOs or other UN agencies, as well as having among its ranks technically qualified staff for the provision of services in the agricultural sector will be added advantages.
